My May Clients of the Month are Henry and Brittany. I've known Henry for years through my past life in the corporate world and he's a great person. Obviously that means that Brittany is as well- guilty by association, right? :) Henry and Brittany are both busy professionals (are you sensing a theme here with my clients?) who wanted to plan some time for the two of them to get away and relax. One of the places that they were considering was Montego Bay and I thought that it would be perfect for them! Read on for their experience in Jamaica! Why did you choose Montego Bay for your vacation? "Montego Bay was one of our bucket list locations. In addition, Rene's recommendation and pricing made the decision that much easier." It's true - if I think that Jamaica is a good fit for my clients, I will let them know all of the reasons why they will love it! What was your favorite day of the trip? "The Dunn's River Fall excursion was amazing. It is such a beautiful place, has great hiking, and is a once in a lifetime experience." For those who are unfamiliar with Dunn's River Falls, it is one of Jamaica's popular attractions. You can hike to the top of falls with a chance to soak in some of the natural pools along the way. If you're not up for a hike, you can stay at the bottom and relax at their beach instead. What was the biggest surprise of your trip? "The room was amazing and looked better in person than the pictures. The staff for the day and nightly activities were very accommodating and fun!" Henry and Brittany stayed at the RIU Palace in Montego Bay, which is only about 10 minutes from the airport. This is a great option for those looking to maximize a short trip. What was your least favorite thing about the trip? "The beach had a lot of sea urchins so could be a bit dangerous. The pools and other activities on the resort made up for it." What advice would you give to people traveling there? "Try not to travel during hurricane season. We had a few days with heavy rain." What was your most memorable experience? "The glow lagoon excursion was something I have never seen before. It's a great night trip if you would like to experience something different. The floor bed was very spongy and the water glows!" The Luminous Lagoon gets its glow from tiny microorganisms called dinoflagellates. These occur in areas where warm fresh and salt water combine and cause a cool green glow when the water is disturbed. It's definitely a sight to be seen!
